Event highlights

Drag Queen Storytime

This interactive and fun storytime session is based on the children's book The Rainbow Flamingo by Catherine Emmett.

Silent Disco

Put on a pair of headphones and immerse yourself in music and nature as our Estuary Shoreline Garden is transformed into a lively dance floor.

Rainbow Trail

Take part in a fact-filled scavenger hunt through our wetlands. Search for the colours of the rainbow in the natural world with the help of a free activity leaflet.

Rainbow Crafts

Head to the Art Hub to create sustainable crafts inspired by colourful wetland creatures. Decorate a pair of paper wings to wear as you celebrate Pride in Nature.

Pride in Nature FAQs

: You need to purchase an admission ticket for WWT Slimbridge to access Pride in Nature. Book your ticket here.

: You can just turn up on the day but if you book your ticket in advance (before midnight the day before your visit) you can save 10% off the admission price.

: All activities in the Pride in Nature programme are free with admission or membership, but availability for some events is limited so please book your place in advance - this will be specified in the event details.

: Yes Pride in Nature is family-friendly. There maybe a suggested minimum age for some events so please check details in advance.

: WWT Slimbridge is accessible and has a Changing Places toilet. You can find our more information on our accessibility page.

: You can get to WWT Slimbridge by car or public transport. Plan your journey here.

Unfortunately we can't allow dogs or pets of any kind on site, with the exception of trained assistance dogs, as our wildlife may become distressed.

Trained assistance dogs are welcome but must be kept on their lead and under control at all times. Please ensure any dog waste is removed. If any of our birds/animals behaviour is affected by the presence of your dog, we respectfully ask that you understand that we may have to ask you to move away from the area. Please do not leave your dog in your car whilst visiting.
