Autumnal sunshine

This morning was bathed in lovely autumnal sunshine and lots of warblers were making the most of the warmth as they fed along the Holden Walkway hedgerow.  A flock of Long-tailed Tit working its way along the hedgerow included at least 4 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest and a Blackcap.

Rushy Hide

A Spotted Redshank, Curlew Sandpiper and 2 Ruff were on the lower pond with a single Redshank.  A second Curlew Sandpiper was on the Tack Piece just over the fence, but management work out here today will probably move the bird back to the Rushy.  A total of 257 Teal were also counted and a Kingfisher was flitting between the Rushy and the Martin Smith pool.
