Car Park Works Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th March

During these dates, parking spaces may be restricted to allow contractors to safely and effectively carry out line painting. Please be mindful that diversions may be in place, and accessible parking spaces may be temporarily relocated to other suitable areas during the works. At times, access to the site may be via the Orchard car park. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Firecrest

Another day with new migrants arriving on site or passing through. A Firecrest was feeding in the hedge and willows at the Goose House this morning.

Middle Point

A party of 9 Common Tern and a single Arctic Tern downriver, 62 Ringed Plover, 190 Dunlin, 8 Little Stint, 3 Sanderling in a very nervous mobile flock, 4 Bar-tailed Godwit, Great White Egret, 17 Little Egret, 14 Wigeon, 12 Pintail, 96 Shelduck in the Curlew/gull roost over high tide.

Marsh Harrier and three Peregrines seen over this morning.

Rushy Hide

Three Spotted Redshank, 5 Greenshank, 10 Redshank, 60 Teal, 2 Green Sandpiper.

South Lake

100 Black-tailed Godwit, 22 Ruff, 3 Green Sandpiper, Spotted Redshank, 2 Redshank, 6 Pied Wagtail, 120 Teal, 200 Black-headed Gull.
