Car Park Works Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th March

During these dates, parking spaces may be restricted to allow contractors to safely and effectively carry out line painting. Please be mindful that diversions may be in place, and accessible parking spaces may be temporarily relocated to other suitable areas during the works. At times, access to the site may be via the Orchard car park. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Cattle Egret with the Longhorn herd and 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 50 Teal and 3 Wigeon.

Rushy Hide

36 Teal, 2 juvenile Ruff, 6 Black-tailed Godwit, 4 Lapwing, 3 Snipe.

Martin Smith Hide

Male Redstart on the reeds, flew into Rushy, Cetti's Warbler and Chiffchaff.

Duck Decoy

Brilliant views of a fishing Kingfisher but it was also in the shadows at times, Little Grebe pair with chick, 11 Gadwall, 9 Tufted Duck, 5 Moorhen and a Teal

South Lake

Spotted Redshank, Greenshank, 190 Lapwing, 12 Ruff, 256 Black-tailed Godwit, 15 Redshank, 12 Shoveler, GC Grebe, 7 Cormorant, a few Starling + flocks of Teal, Gadwall, Greylag and Tufted Duck

Middle Point to spartina shelf

24 Curlew, 7 Sanderling, 8 Avocet, 69 Shelduck, 13 Ringed Plover, 15 Dunlin, 16 GBB Gull, 3 Little.Egret, Grey Heron, 130 Black-headed Gull, 5 Wigeon and 3 Shoveler on the tide + 5 Yellow Wagtail with cattle.

Summer Walkway (Tack Piece) and Middle Point/Dumbles fences

5 Wheatear, 6 Reed Bunting and 3 Chiffchaff (at Middle Point on the fence!) + Greenshank flying about calling, it's been off for a tour of the scrapes
