Good fall of Waders

Good fall of Waders

The wet weather has at least been good for dropping a good selection of waders onto the estuary.

Estuary

The following were seen from the Dumbles edge this morning over high tide at 07.30;

Ringed Plover 420 (a very high count for here)
Dunlin 268
Knot 8
Common Sandpiper 8
Ruff 17
Sanderling 12
Little Egret 6
Best hope for seeing this lot will be to watch from mid point at the end of the summer walkway, better still come and visit over the w/e when very high tides should push this lot into the scrapes.
