The south of the reserve was very busy with birds this morning offering great views from the Kingfisher Hide and Zeiss Hide.

Estuary Tower
The flock of 8 Pink-footed Geese are still on the Dumbles this morning.

Kingfisher Hide
Birds were very busy flipping back and forth between the Top and Bottom New Piece fields but a minimum count of 355 Dunlin was made along with 11 Bewick's Swans, 39 White-fronted Geese and 241 Barnacle Geese.

Zeiss Hide
Flocks of Wigeon and Teal were around the Top and Bottom New Piece this morning along with 3 Redshank, 4 Snipe, 6 Pintail, a Ruff and 35+ Golden Plover.

South Lake
Counts this morning included 165 Knot, 14 Ruff, 70+ Dunlin, 400+ Black-tailed Godwit, 7 Snipe, 52 Pochard, 87 Tufted Duck, 150+ Shoveler and 10 Cormorant.
