Car Park Works Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th March

During these dates, parking spaces may be restricted to allow contractors to safely and effectively carry out line painting. Please be mindful that diversions may be in place, and accessible parking spaces may be temporarily relocated to other suitable areas during the works. At times, access to the site may be via the Orchard car park. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Rushy Hide/Peng Observatory

The female Goldeneye remained on the top pond today. Five Whooper Swans flew in to join the 85 Bewick's Swans at 0815am. Also counts of 142 Pochard, 73 Pintail, 127 Shelduck

Estuary Tower

Three Goosander (male and two females) flew down river over the high tide. The 8 Pink-footed Geese were on the Dumbles with 2 Peregrines. Stonechat and Raven seen on the Middle Point cross fence this morning. Also 210 Barnacle Geese, Egyptian Goose on river with Canada Geese, 46 Curlew and 70 Shelduck

Zeiss Hide

817 Wigeon, 319 Dunlin, several hundred Lapwing, 23 Snipe.

South Lake

198 Teal, 116 Shoveler, 326 Black-tailed Godwit, 7 Cormorant, Dunlin.

Martin Smith Hide/Tack Piece

The 5 Whooper Swans relocated to the Tack Piece for the day, 9 Snipe were in the cut rush on the islands and 20 Ruff were on the scrape edge early morning.
