Sighting's from around the hides

Rushy Pen

Avocet- the six young are rapidly growing feathers. Easy to see on the lower pond.
Shelduck broods of various ages/sizes.
Teal 1
Common Tern incubating eggs- top pond on island at the back.

Garganey juvenile, MJMcGill

Garganey- a nervous, freshly fledged juvenile skulking in the pool.
Little Egret 1

Robbie Garnett Hide

Crane 1 GCP, Green Sandpiper 11, Lapwing 3, Oystercatcher 2 plus 5 Teal, 3 juvenile Shoveler and Black-headed Gulls on the scrape edges. Snipe in the vegetation.

South Lake

Common Sandpiper, Little-ringed Plover, 5 Redshank, 15 Black-tailed Godwit, 10 Lapwing and 2 Oystercatcher on the wader scrape. Little and Great Crested Grebe, Gadwall, Tufted Duck, Black-headed Gulls on the deep lake.

Zeiss Hide/Top New Piece

45 Avocet, 2 Ruff, 3 Redshank, Black-tailed Godwits, Oystercatcher,  Teal, Gadwall and Shelduck broods on the marsh.
