Definitely a day to spend using the hides, the weather wasn't too helpful today but the birds are enjoying it. Image of Pill Box Pool and the Long Ground Pool.

Estuary Tower

Pink Footed Goose, Ross Goose, Snow Goose all on the Dumbles with Barnacle and Canada Geese. Spoonbill on the large "saltpan' at South end of Dumbles + large flock of Wigeon and Pintail with Black-tailed Godwits, juvenile DB Brent Goose with Barnacle/Canada Geese on foreshore saltmarsh.

Tack Piece

The Spoonbill relocated here late morning.

Kingfisher Hide/Bottom New Piece

Pair of Kingfisher, Water Rail, singing Reed Bunting and Lesser White Fronted Goose with the Canada Geese.

South Lake

43 Avocet, 4 Oystercatcher, 50 Shoveler, 23 Gadwall, 12 Pochard. Post-roost gathering of 12 Cattle Egret on the deep lake islands early morning, likely to be heading for the canal fields to feed soon, E side of canal favoured by them currently.
