Today's sightings-overnight Storm Katie but business as usual.

Despite a very wet and windy night the centre and reserve was not affected by weather. The breeding birds were a bit quieter as it must have been a rough night for them, some birds sought shelter, others took full advantage of the newly flooded puddles to feed.

Peregrine-sheltered behind a log for much of the day
Ringed Plover 5 at high tide
Dunlin 3 with 325 Golden Plover on the Dumbles.
Shelduck 149 on the Dumbles puddles.
Greylag 57
Canada Goose- 40 on the estuary
Swallow 5 and 2 seen today.
A party of Common Scoter was seen in our recording area this morning.

Tack Piece

Crane GCP- up to 10 birds viewable during the day.
Little-ringed Plover feeding at the NE end of the scrape in puddles.

Greenland White-fronted Geese- 5 late afternoon, they were feeding in fields to N earlier in the day.
