Rushy Great watching here, the three pairs of Avocets (plus an extra adult this morning) have eight young between them all doing very well. The Oystercatcher chick is all but full grown and 18 Black Tailed Godwits were roosting as normal on the top pond.

The Rushy pen AVOCET NEWS at 0830 this morning a scan of the three nesting pairs revealed that one pair (back right hand island) had four chicks and were feeding in the shallows. A second pair (front left hand island) had hatched two young which strayed a
