More Pink's
Another cracking autumn day here at Martin Mere. The Pink-footed Geese were undoubtedly the highlight with at least 15000 birds coming in mid afternoon, an awesome sight. Probable vagrant Canada Goose came in 15:30 with pink's, then flushed again 15:55. Four Barnacle Geese also came in with the Pink-footed Goose flock.
New Whoopers in 50 birds this morning including a family containing 5 young.
Four Peregrine siting side by side this morning at the back of the Mere, two adults and their young. These birds decided to 'rule the air' for a while by mobbing and chasing any Common Buzzards, Marsh Harrier and corvids coming close by.
A couple of Ruff were new in, the first for a while. Around 500 Lapwing dodging the Peregrines!
Hirundine passing south in numbers, also Skylarks again.
Kingfisher again from the Ron Barker Hide.
