A nice selection of waders on the scrape today including 204 Black-tailed Godwits, 4 Avocet, 28 Redshank, 20+ Lapwing, 6 very variable Ruff and a single Green Sandpiper and Oystercatcher. The Crane family were feeding along the shoreline of the scrape. Several broods of Tufted Duck were on the deep lake plus another two broods on the duck marsh from the Hogarth Hide. A pair of Little Grebe were also on the deep lake.

A Little-ringed Plover was at the back of the scrape with a single Green Sandpiper.

At least 44 Dunlin were feeding on the edge of the scrape, but many birds were obscured by the vegetation around the shoreline. At least 22 Redshank, 29 Avocet and 4 Black-tailed Godwit were also present with 89 Lapwing and 4 Oystercatcher.

Two Raven were at the southern end of the Dumbles. An Oystercatcher was feeding near the seawall and a Little Egret was on the river with two Grey Heron. A family party of Reed Warbler were busy in the hedgerow along the Summer Walkway.
