Wildlife Photography Competition (Migration)
Submit your photos showcasing migratory wildlife at WWT Martin Mere.
As part of our Goosefest celebrations, we're inviting photographers of all ages to capture the incredible migratory wildlife that makes WWT Martin Mere so special each autumn.
From the spectacular sight of thousands of pink-footed geese gathering before flying in to roost, to the lifelong bond of a pair of whooper swans, or the rich autumn colours that transform the wetlands as migrating birds arrive, we want to see your favourite moments.
Whether you're using a professional camera or simply snapping photos on your phone, everyone is welcome to take part. If you have any existing photos from a previous autumn visit to Martin Mere, these can be entered too!

Prizes
Shortlisted, runner-ups, and winners will be displayed in our exhibition hall from November 2025. The winner of each category will receive the choice between a prize of a yearly individual membership, or a £100 WWT gift voucher to use in our cafe or shop.
Take a look at our categories:
Adult: for those over the age of 18.
Junior: for those under the age of 18 (parent or guardian must enter on behalf of children under the age of 13).
What you can enter:
Equipment: Both photos from mobile phones and cameras are allowed
Colour: We will accept both colour and black and white photos
Size: Please ensure that each photo is no more than 10mb
Location: Photos must be taken at Martin Mere
Format: we will accept png, jpg, and jpeg format
Limit: up to 3 images per person, any entries after this will not be judged
