Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

Avocets and Brambling

A few more Avocets arrived overnight/early morning bringing the total to 11 birds this morning on the Mere, also the Woodcock is still present between Gladstone Hide and Janet Kear Hide. Keeping with Waders, a Dunlin was with the flock of 60 Ruff and 2 Curlew were on the far side of the Mere with 20+ Black-tailed Godwit, 81 Oystercatchers, 2000 Lapwing and a few Snipe.

The Tawny Owl was again on view being slightly blown around in the wind today, also the cracking male Brambling is the still being seen from Janet Kear Hide along with an assortment of Chaffinches, Greenfinches and plenty of Reed Buntings.
