Bird News

The overcast condition and a little rain concentrated 30+ Swift and a few House Martin over the reserve.

The Mere, more activity than this photograph can show...

Not packed with news today, the wardens are busy elsewhere. The long staying Little Gull is still present, seen in the Morning hawking insects from the Ron Barker Hide. A male Kingfisher was also seen from there.

A pair of Bullfinch were seen between the in focus shop and the Swan Link viewing blinds.

Tree Sparrows and Reed Bunting were actively feeding in the undergrowth around the Mere collecting insects for their young.

A few Lesser Black-backed Gull were causing a commotion  among the Black-headed Gull colony.

See previous days sighting for additional species present.
