Common Terns

A pair of Common Terns have spent most of the day around the Mere as well as the usual two 1st summer Mediterranean Gulls. A Yellow Wagtail was seen a few times from Ron Barker Hide, at the back of Sunleys. The 2 Ruff are still from Ron Barker hide along with a single Black tailed Godwit.

Upto 24 Avocet were counted from Ron Barker but a Peregrine was seen to take an Avocet chick this afternoon, this seems to be a regular occurrance now. A female Marsh Harrier was seen again along with several Common Buzzard and Kestrel.

A pair of Mistle Thrush were seen in the Car Park and a pair of Little Grebe currently have young on view from Harrier Hide.
