Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

An early morning count produced 1000+ Whooper Swan, 5300 Pink-footed Geese, 470 Greylag, 1 Canada Goose, 290 Shelduck, 204 Wigeon, 3 Gadwall, 1230 Teal, 1490 Mallard, 100 Pintail, 21 Shoveler, 8 Pochard, 9 Tufted Duck, 4 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron and 141 Coot.

Four Peregrine again, 2+ Marsh Harrier, 3 Common Buzzard and Sparrowhawk.

Waders included 840+ Lapwing, 51 Ruff, 2 Black-tailed Godwit and a few Common Snipe.

Gulls on the reserve; 450+ Black-headed Gull, Common Gull, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull and Great Black-backed Gull.
