Last few days.

A few internet / phone problems over the past few days are now (hopefully) sorted. A fine selection of migrants, winter visitors and the odd long stayer.

Pink-footed Geese numbers have shot up with at least 2500 around the reserve today. More Teal, 1000+ thou no counts, 15 Pintail and Red-crested Pochard briefly on the Mere yesterday.

Waders have included 32 Ruff, 60 Common Snipe, 4 Dunlin (8 South), 5 Black-tailed Godwit, Redshank, Greenshank (y'day) and 500+ Lapwing.

Common Swift (11/9), Kingfisher, Water Rail back of Vinson's and 2 Raven.

Raptors included 2 Marsh Harrier, 2 Common Buzzard, 2 Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and imm falcon sp.
