Latest Sighting
Another fine with plenty of activity. Two Hobby hunting together mid afternoon from the Ron Barker Hide. The usual raptors with Marsh Harrier, 8 Common Buzzard, 3 Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.
Waders included 200+ Lapwing, 15+ Ruff inc 3+ juvs, 20+ Black-tailed Godwit and Common Snipe.
At least 2 Kingfisher with sighting from the Harrier Hide and in front of the Ron Barker Hide t Miller's bridge. At least 5 Little Grebe from the Harrier Hide.
Insects on the wing included Common Darter, Black-tailed Skimmer, Southern Hawker, Peacock, Red Admiral, Comma and Common Blue.
