Latest Sightings
As winter kicks in we've started seeing some lovely frost settle over Martin Mere, and with it the arrival of at least 80 fieldfare, which can be seen from Ron Barker hide along with 110+ linnets. 6 marsh harriers have been spotted on the mere this week, and so has a bittern, particularly from United Utilities hide.
The ruffs and black-tailed godwits are still about, and can often be seen from Discovery hide, feeding alongside the ducks, greylags, and whooper swans.
