It's been a busy week at Gordon Taylor hide as 4 green sandpipers, 1 common sandpiper, 2 snipe, 1 wood sandpiper, a juvenile ringed plover, and a little ringed plover have all been spotted there since Saturday! It also may be the spot to see the 8 cattle egrets with our herd of cattle, as they are being moved to the area surrounding woodend marsh.

Ron Barker hide has also had a lot of activity this week, as a hobby has been seen several times, often hunting over one of the fields closest to the hide. The start of this week also brought some exciting visitors, as a spoonbill was spotted there on Sunday, and an osprey circled on Monday before flying towards Burscough! Also on Sunday, a bittern was seen flying once again from Ron Barker hide to the reedbed.
