Another great sunny day for bird watching here at Martin Mere.

We have had one Glossy Ibis over the last two weeks, but today we have sightings of two Gossy Ibis from the Ron Barker Hide and later on the Mere. 2 Kingfisher, 2 Marsh Harrier and 2 Sparrowhawk have also been seen from the Ron Barker Hide.

6 Whooper Swans and over 8,000 Pink-footed Geese have arrived from Iceland onto the Main Mere, and we expect more to arrive in the coming weeks. Also Pintail, Snipe, Wigeon, Ruff, Cormorant, Cattle Egret, Great White Egret, Grey Heron, Buzzard, Greylag Geese, Kestrels and a Stoat are to be seen on the Mere.

At Harrier Hide Tufted Ducks, Cormorants, Cetti's Warblers, Ruff and Chiffchaff have been sighted. 

The Gordon Taylor Hide has Buzzards, Kestrels. Stonechat and a Marsh Harrier seen thoughout today.
