Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

Latest Sightings

Plenty of action again today, mild in the afternoon as the wind dropped. A good day for raptors for some with male Hen Harrier briefly mid afternoon, male and female Marsh Harrier, Peregrine, 6+ Common Buzzard and Sparrowhawk.

At least one Siberian Chiffchaff present opposite the sewage works with Common Chiffchaff.

Waders included 100 Avocet, 70+ Ruff (including the breed plumage male), 85 Oystercatcher, 15+ Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Redshank, 2 Ringed Plover, 6 Common Snipe and 200 Lapwing.

Some active and possibly new in, Pink-footed Geese c.1500, also 700+ Whooper Swan.
