Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

Marsh Harrier

First 'spring' Marsh Harrier, a female type early on. Common Buzzards are active and a scan of the surrounding area can produce 6+ birds. Other reported raptors were Peregrine, 2 Sparrowhawk and 2 Kestrel.

Around 120 Whooper Swan still in the surrounding area, 1000+ Pink-footed Geese again. Handfuls of Pintail, Teal and Wigeon.

Waders included 45 Avocet, 4 Ringed Plover, 4+ Redshank, Dunlin, 20+ Ruff and 10+ Black-tailed Godwit.

Action at the Janet Kear Hide included 2 Brambling, 2 Treecreeper, 2 Great-spotted Woodpecker, Siskin and plenty of Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch and Reed Bunting.
