Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

More Birds

Another good wader day with 115 Curlew, 1 Whimbrel, 110+ Lapwing, 28 Avocet, 21 Ruff inc breeding plumage male, 23 Oystercatcher, 13 Redshank, 5 Ringed Plover, 5 Dunlin, 2 Little Ringed Plover and yesterday a report of Common Sandpiper which was new for the year.

Spring counts of wildfowl included 180 Shelduck, 27 Shoveler, 12 Gadwall, 34 Teal, 2 Wigeon, 8 Tufted and 6 Pochard.

Raptors; 10 Common Buzzard, 3 Sparrowhawk and Kestrel.

Summer migrants included the first House Martin of the year,  15+ Swallow and 5 Sand Martin. White Wagtail,  Reed Warbler, Chiffchaff, Blackcap and Willow Warbler.

Other reports included Raven and a count of 700+ Lesser Black-backed Gull moving south east.
