Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

Althought slightly worn this Tawny-barred Angled is new for the reserve moth list which stands at ~ 560 species. It is of the form nigrofulvata. Click below for more information on this species via the excellent UK Moths website.

I think most people consider moths to be similar to the species above, rather brown and non-descript. There is an amazing amount of variety in the moth world as another species which was found in the trap goes to show.

Garden Tiger is one of the more spectacular moths which can be found across the UK in many different habitats.
