Pink-foot influx starts ?
Over 600 Pink-footed Geese came in to roost near the United Utilities hide just before dusk, before being flushed by a helicopter. Still returning in smaller groups up until dark.
Don't forget late opening nights every Wednesday and Saturday from next Wednesday (23 Sept.) until 31 October, when the reserve will be staying open until 7pm. Several thousand Geese (there should be at least that many here by next Wednesday) against the backdrop of Martin Mere's spectacular "big sky" sunsets is a truly remarkable sight
