Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

Pinks and Peregrines

A dawn count produced just under 26,000 Pink-footed Geese this morning and 134 Whooper Swan. Over 60 Pintail now present mostly on the Mere. In total at least 14 species of wildfowl present on the reserve.

Three Peregrine mostly seen on the fence line along boathouse sluice which runs between the Mere and Plover Field. Other raptors included imm female Marsh Harrier, 3 Common Buzzard and Sparrowhawk.
