An arrival of 8 European White fronted Geese was notable today with 2 groups, (a family party of 2 adults with 2 juveniles and another group of 4 adults) with upto 10,000 Pink footed Geese and 900 Whooper Swan, a single Barnacle Goose was also with the Pink feet.
On the raptor front a Red Kite was seen today along with 3 Marsh Harrier, a ringtail Hen Harrier, sev Buzzard, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel. Other sightings included 11 Dunlin, 20 Black tailed Godwit and c60 Ruff. A Redpoll and Brambling were heard overflying the site this morning.
