Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

Wildfowl spectacle

Excellent numbers of Pink-footed Geese with several thousand on and off today with upto 1500 Whooper swan and good numbers of other wildfowl inc a single drake Goldeneye. The usual Peregrines were present again with the adult female and pale juvenile present today and watched to take yet another drake Teal. Other raptors today included a Merlin, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and Common Buzzard.

A few waders on the move today with at least 4 Dunlin through the site today, with one lingering with the 44 Ruff counted. Other sightings of note were the 2 Nuthatches still present on bird tables by In Focus shop, a rare bird on site.
