Work Experience
We are pleased to offer a limited number of work experience placements each year within the following departments: Customer Service and Hospitality, Grounds - Horticulture, Learning and Engagement, Living Collections - Presentations and Reserve.
To find out more about what these placements involve and how to apply, please contact our work experience coordinator via education.slimbridge@wwt.org.uk for an information pack and application form. The application deadline for placements in 2027 is Monday 14th December 2026.
Please note that for Customer Service and Hospitality, Grounds - Horticulture, Learning and Engagement and Reserve, work experience students must be over 14 years old (Years 10 or 12) and placements last one week only (Monday - Friday).
For Living Collections - Presentations, placements run between March-October only. Work experience students must be at least 16 years old (Year 12 only) and be able to commit to 1 or 2 weeks (Monday - Friday). An interview will form part of the selection process.
