Dragonfly Kite Making
Let your imagination take flight! As part of WWT Slimbridge's first Dragonfly Festival, you can build your very own fantastic flyer, inspired by the amazing colours and aerial skills of dragonflies.
We’ll guide you through the design and build step by step, making sure you have a beautiful kite to take home and fly.
Led by Community Kite Project, enjoy family workshops where you can create your own unique dragonfly kite to treasure and soar through the skies!

Finger paint a dragonfly
Feeling inspired? Get creative and celebrate the magic of dragonflies with a fun, hands on art activity. Fly into our Art Hub and finger paint your very own dragonfly masterpiece. Did you know there are over 3,000 species of dragonfly in the world? Why not make your own, using our recycled materials.
Drop in and join in, included in admission ticket and free to WWT members.
