Guided Horticulture Walk
Join one our Grounds Wardens, Pip, for a few hours of happy rambling, learning about Slimbridge’s landscape and horticultural history.
Explore some of our most fascinating trees and plants and discover our exciting plans for the future, on this beautiful spring walk.

Time: 11am - 1pm
The walk will begin with a brief introduction to Slimbridge’s site and safety before venturing out together.
Grounds Warden, Pip, has been part of the Slimbridge team for over 20 years, and has many tales to share of the past and present, as well as our exciting vision for the future. Her wealth of knowledge about the landscape and its planting is extensive as she has seen it evolve substantially over the last two decades.

Come and learn something new about our magical wetlands world, whether you’re new to Slimbridge or an old friend. No previous knowledge is required!
This is a relaxed walk with lots of time to ask questions, satisfy your curiosity and expand your perspective of Slimbridge’s wider wetlands landscape and its horticulture.
Meeting Point: Patio outside the Kingfisher Kitchen
Cost: £15 per person (guided walk only - if you're not a WWT member and would like to enjoy the centre after the session please book admission separately, either in advance or on the day).
Minimum age: Whilst we think this event is best suited to those aged 10+, you know your child best - if you have a budding young nature lover who would enjoy this walk they are welcome to join.
Accessibility: The majority of our pathways are wheelchair accessible. If you have any additional accessibility needs then please let us know when booking your ticket.
