22 species of wader today
The very high tide pushed all the small waders off the saltmarsh shelf where they moved to the Top New Piece. The larger, longer legged waders roosted up on the Dumbles on the edge or fed in the grassland areas and pools. A flock of 17 terns either Arctic

Today's sighting-Migration in full swing
The overnight showers delivered more migrants to the reserve to add to those already present. Water levels rose sharply with the deluge all day and night yesterday but enough mud exists on the scrapes to keep the waders here. Duck numbers have risen, Teal

After a showery but warm day yesterday today has been mostly wet. At least 21 species of wader were present on the reserve yesterday. The weekend tides are rising and it is a good time to visit the centre and hides as many waders will be present on the
