Plenty of action today with thousands of Pink-footed Geese especially in the afternoon. A few Whooper Swan new in with peat stained heads.

Waders around the Mere included 300+ Lapwing, 10 Ruff, 17 Black-tailed Godwit, Snipe and Redshank.

The usual raptors: 2 Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel, 4+ Buzzard and 3 Marsh Harrier.

At least 2 Kingfisher seen today.

A male Pintail preening, coming out of eclipse plumage.
