Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

Monday Sightings

Breezy with a heavy rain shower early on.

Jam packed with Black-tailed Godwit with 2000+ on the reserve and approximately 4500 in total in the local area. Four Greenshank present, 500+ Lapwing, 20+ Ruff, 30+ Snipe, Dunlin and possible Little Stint seen briefly mid morning.

Seven Green Sandpiper, a good count here.

Juvenile Cuckoo seen on the Reed Bed Walk.

Two juv/fem Garganey with Teal this morning from the Ron Barker Hide.

At least 2 Yellow Wagtail in the cattle field this morning.

Kingfisher regular from the Ron Barker Hide.

Raptors include Hobby, 2 Peregrine (ad fem and juv), 4 Marsh Harrier, Buzzard, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.
