The continuing southerly airflow is helping migrant birds on their way and bringing more birds in which will summer and breed in the local vicinity.

At least 4 White Wagtails today on Woodend Marsh. The immature Spoonbill and Little Egret are sill present there viewed from the United Utilities Hide.

Raptors included 4+ Common Buzzard, adult female Marsh Harrier, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.

A few Curlews moving through and 25+ off Curlew Lane this morning, also 5 Wheatear there.

Again double figure hirundines, Swallows and Sand Martin.

Brown Hares active around the reserve. Stoat from the Harrier Hide and Toads on the Nature Trail.
