Festive Family Fun at WWT Slimbridge!

This Christmas WWT Slimbridge will be inviting visitors to kick-start the festive season with a host of festive fun. The whole family can sit down to enjoy a seasonal theatre show, tuck in to a hearty breakfast or delightful afternoon tea with Santa and the elves and enjoy indoor and out craft activities.

2017 will see the Slimbridge debut for new theatre production, Grandma Claus, created and performed by local theatre company, Noodle. Families can settle down for this 60 minute play in the comfort of the Slimbridge cinema and be transported to Grandma’s house, where they’ll meet her friend Twinkle Toes and learn how Grandma has tried tirelessly to get Santa to come home with her cakes and bakes. Find out whether Santa finally pays her a visit in this light hearted, fun and magical show. Tickets for Grandma Claus are £6 per person or £20 for a family of four (does not include admission to centre). Runs 20 – 22 December with three showings daily. Bookable online.

Between 16 and 22 December there’ll be a selection of activities free to members or included in admission for non-members. Families can toast marshmallows over an open fire, construct an elf den for tired workers to take a break in, ice gingerbread men, get stuck in to Christmas crafts and we’ll make doubly sure Christmas list letters get to the North Pole in super-quick time with our exclusive Swan Mail Service.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit from Santa, so the elves at Slimbridge are busy preparing his hidden grotto, ready for his arrival. This year there’s an extra special package on offer whereby visitors can enjoy either breakfast or afternoon tea with the elves, followed by a visit to Santa, with a special gift to take away. All spaces are bookable online in advance so please book early to avoid disappointment.
