Book your visit

To help keep you and our staff, volunteers and local communities safe, we're continuing to limit the number of people who can visit each day. This means we need everyone to book, including those who visit for free such as members, children under four and carers.

You remain our primary concern, so rest assured we’re following the latest guidance. We know how important it is to be out in nature and feel safe.

Please make sure you're able to follow safety guidance before booking your visit.

Visit essentials

We know some things can make or break a visit so below are the things you've told us are most important to know before booking.

  • Cleaning - we’ve increased our cleaning regime, particularly our toilets. And we have plenty of hand sanitiser available around the site.
  • Food and drink - our restaurant is currently closed but take away is available
  • Hand feeding (the birds) - currently not available
  • Hides – more detailed and recent government guidance, issued this week, means that hides must remain closed until 17 May at the earliest (step 3 of the roadmap). As soon as we have updated information and a confirmed date for when hides can open, we will let you know.
  • Play areas - open and cleaned regularly
  • Toilets - open and cleaned regularly
  • Wheelchair hire - currently not available

For more detailed information on the above and the other things that make a visit special, explore our useful hints, tips and information. You'll also find general booking and visiting FAQs below.

Book your tickets

Everyone, whether you’re a WWT member or not, must book in advance for the day you wish to visit.

You'll receive a booking confirmation once checkout is complete - please bring this with you on the day.

Pre-existing ticket holders: If you bought a ticket before 31 March 2020 and not used it, they’re valid until 31 December 2021. You don’t have to buy new tickets, but please make a free booking for the day you intend to visit. You will need to bring your original ticket and your booking confirmation.
