Otter Health Check

flick with alexThis week our family of otters went to the vets for their annual health check, which included an x-ray, blood tests and teeth examination, here’s a summary of how they got on...

  • Thai is too old for the anaesthetic, but was able to have an x-ray through her cage, all is well and her teeth are in good condition, she weighs 4.05kg.
  • Ned had a scale and polish to remove the tartar build up on his teeth, his x-ray was not clear so may have a kidney stone, we will be monitoring this, he weighs 2.85kg.
  • Penny had a clear x-ray, there is slight tartar build up on her teeth and she weighs 3.29kg.
