Avocets have arrived
The first avocets of the year; a group of around forty, were sighted on the mere yesterday.
The first avocets of the year; a group of around thirty, were sighted on the mere yesterday. The avocets will (hopefully) be sticking around at Martin Mere through Spring and into the Summer to feed and breed. We hope that you will be able to see them when we can reopen safely later in the year.
