Latest Sightings
We've had a male Whinchat today, which is our first for the year! This was spotted on the path to Gordon Taylor Hide along with 6 Linnets and 2 Whitethroats. Also on Woodend Marsh, Avocets continue to show well as they pair up for the spring.
At Discovery Hide, we have had the occasional sighting of House Martins and Sand Martins darting about. 1 Redshank was seen on the Mere along with 3 Mediterranean Gulls and 4 Oystercatchers on Wednesday. Today, a Common Sandpiper was seen on the waters edge to the right of Discovery Hide.
