The Long-billed Dowitcher was present for it's third day today, showing in the same area (Woodend Marsh) as yesterday, and viewable from the United Utilities hide.

Other birds around reported around the reserve were much the same as yesterday, with a juvenile Cuckoo, Kingfisher, Hobby, Peregrine, 2 Marsh Harriers, Sparrowhawk and Buzzard all seen regularly.

Waders included 3 Greenshanks, at least 2 Green sandpipers , 1 Knot, over 100 (probably a lot over !) Snipe and at least 60 Ruff.

Other birds of interest included Barn Owl and a single Swift.

Thanks to Jim Bevin for today's featured image of the Dowitcher with Ruff and Godwits.
