Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

Whimbrel

A single Whimbrel seen from the Raines Hide was new in. Generally waders turning up at this time of year will be failed breeders making a leisurely journey south or local post breeding birds ie Lapwing.

At least 2 Green Sandpiper seen from the Swan Link and Hale Hides. Other waders include 16 Black-tailed Godwit, Ruff, 2+ Avocet, 100+ Lapwing, 4 Redshank, 4 Oystercatcher and a single Snipe, the later from the Ron Barker Hide.

The worn female Marsh Harrier was present again, 3+ Common Buzzard, 2 Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.
