Rushy

A drake Green-winged Teal arrived on site today, this species had almost become annual in recent years but we've had a couple of years without one. A drake Garganey was also seen as well as two drake Shoveler, a few drake Gadwall, pairs of Tufted Ducks, nesting Avocets -35 in total, 5 nests, nesting Little-ringed Plover and Crane, 2 male and female Lapwing, 31 Greylag.

South Lake

2cy Mediterranean Gull, 2cy Little Gull, 48 Black-tailed Godwit, one of the 3 Oystercatcher chicks has left the hide rooftop and is on the causeway, 45 Avocet, 19 nests, 13 at (North end), 2 pairs of Teal, Gadwall, Kingfisher, Coot, Tufted Duck, Cormorant + the Black-headed Gull colony plus a Whitethroat singing.

Middle Point

38 Ringed Plover, a breeding plumage Golden Plover, 18 Dunlin, a breeding plumage Sanderling, 8 Curlew and Oystercatcher on the mud flats to North, Peregrine to South.

Summer Walkway/Tack Piece

2 Golden Plover, 2 Yellow Wagtail,7 Avocet, pair of Shoveler, drake Pintail + Shelduck, Gadwall and Pied Wagtails.

Estuary Tower

11 Lapwing across the Dumbles (Upper and Lower), three pairs of Oystercatcher, Crane, 28 Avocet.

Garganey

Influx, at least six here today, a minimum of five drakes but they can be mobile, sightings as follows- Drake Rushy. drake South Lake drake Bottom New Piece, a pair flew from Bottom New Piece to Top New Piece and back. Three drakes Top New Piece and a drake Duck Decoy
