Spring is an exciting time at WWT Martin Mere as we see the return of our family favourites such as pond dipping, canoe safari and boat tours, and our wet play area!
Here’s what to expect from your visit:
Gozzle
We've teamed up with Macmillan Children’s Books to explore the wonderful world of wetlands with Gozzle the gosling, from Julia Donaldson and Sara Ogilvie’s freshly hatched picture book.
With outdoor adventures, special activities, storytelling sessions and more, enjoy a season of firsts at Martin Mere Wetland Centre.

Meet wetland species from around the world
Take a wonder around our Living Collection to see breath-taking species such as flamingos, Inca terns, cranes, white storks, and our two adorable otters, Penny & Kenai. There are over 70 species to see.
The wild side
See spring's best highlights on our nature reserve. Can you spot our waders breeding, our cattle grazing, fluffy ducklings waddling, or barn owls hunting?
We’re open every day, and as we return to summer opening hours, you can explore our centre from 9:30am until 6pm.
Enjoy unlimited visits with our membership
Come whenever you like, as many times are you like! With family memberships starting from £7.25 per month, you and up to six children or grandchildren can enjoy our activities all year-round. Find out more.
