Martin Mere Wetland Centre closed to the public

We have taken the difficult decision to close Martin Mere Wetland Centre to all visitors until further notice.

In a change to a previous announcement, WWT members will not be able to get special access to the Wetland Centre, even the outdoor areas.

We have done our best to stay open as somewhere for you to get fresh air and a dose of nature, things that are more important than ever during this difficult time.

However, our overriding concern is keeping everyone safe and healthy in light of the current guidance on social distancing.

Rest assured that throughout the closure, we will continue to care for our birds and animals.

Whilst our Martin Mere Wetland Centre is closed to the public, WWT continues working behind the scenes, and we will be stepping up our online content to help those of you who find yourselves suddenly responsible for your children’s education, to give you ideas for things to do in the home and garden and, importantly, to keep you connected to nature.

If you haven't signed up to receive marketing emails from us, you can do so here www.wwt.org.uk/signup

And follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

We will keep the situation under review and will post any future updates on this page.
