Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

Latest Sightings

The reedbed walk is alive with the songs of warblers; with blackcaps, chiffchaff, cetti's, reed, sedge, willow and grasshopper warblers all audible. Two pairs of linnets also have been seen, one on the reedbed and another near Gordon Taylor hide.

Stonechats and wheatears are spotted most days around our grazing cattle.

Plenty of ducks are still around; pochard, shoveler, gadwall and tufted ducks all showing very well on the mere and reedbed.

A whinchat was spotted on Thursday singing near Gordon Taylor hide.
