Artistic contributors to Wild Walk

map with colour2 (Small)Map illustration: Freelance artist and illustrator Hannah Sawtell has developed the map for Wild Walk, she told us “I've really enjoyed the process.” Hannah is currently working on a series of commissions as well as a personal project that involves illustrating a children's short story.

MM WW listening horn web.JPGListening horn: Sculptor Toby Robson is currently putting some finishing touches to a new piece of art which will soon be appearing in the Wild Walk. Called 'The Listening Horn' and made from cast aluminium and recycled parts, it's a surreal mix of Dr Seuss and steam punk - and will give visitors a chance to listen in to the natural ambient sounds around them. "It was a real pleasure to take this project on," said Toby, "and I hope the finished piece brings a smile to everyone who interacts with it."

MM WW skyseats4 BM.JPGSkyseats and giant welly: Wood sculptor Luke Chapman creates high quality bespoke wood carvings and sculptures. His background as a cabinetmaker led Luke to establish his own sculpture workshop in 2004. He enjoys taking on challenging and unusual large scale sculpture commissions alongside finer carving work. He says “If I were to pick a favourite subject to carve, I’d probably have to say wildlife carving and bird carving.”
